Video: In today’s video I’m going to tell you all about glutathione foods. You will want to eat these Glutathione foods to get what most call the best antioxidant hands down. Glutathione is an antioxidant that is produced naturally in the cells of our body. Glutathione is a tripeptide. It’s comprised mostly of 3 amino acids which are glutamine, glycine and cysteine. Glutathione is called the mother of all antioxidants because of its amazing benefits. It has a superpower to render dangerous free radicals, toxic drugs and heavy metals harmless. This detoxification mechanism protects your cells, tissues and organs from disease and illness. The bad news about glutathione is that you get less of it due to aging, poor nutrition, stress, medications and more.
You can get more of it from certain foods and I’m going to tell you the best ones right now. Because glutathione is a sulfur compound you can get it in foods high in sulfur. Notably, sulfur is required for the synthesis of glutathione. The first glutathione food are cruciferous vegetables. This group of vegetables boost glutathione because of their high sulfur content. Cruciferous vegetables include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and kale. The next food high in glutathione is asparagus. In addition to glutathione asparagus also has other antioxidants like Vitamin E and Vitamin C. Another food high in Glutathione is garlic. Garlic can help support your body’s protective mechanisms against oxidative damage because of its antioxidants. Beef, fish and poultry are another great way to get glutathione. These animal food sources are high in Cysteine and methionine which can help increase glutathione levels.
