Video: In today’s video I’m going to tell you all about glutathione benefits. This powerful antioxidant is so crucial for your body’s defense system and overall health that many call it the Mother of all antioxidants. Welcome, it’s such as pleasure to have you here. It’s comprised mostly of 3 amino acids glutamine, glycine and cysteine.
An interesting fact about glutathione is that the body is able to make it in the liver which is not true of most antioxidants.
In addition to your body making it naturally you can also get it from food or in supplement form. Glutathione is called the Mother of all antioxidants because it has so many important anti aging benefits which I’m going to tell you about right now. The 1st benefit of glutathione is decreasing free radicals. Free radicals can damage cells, cause illness and speed up aging. Glutathione helps to counteract free radicals and protect the body from their damaging effects. The 2nd benefit of Glutathione is reducing inflammation at the cellular level. Inflammation is the root cause of many diseases such as cancer and heart disease. Glutathione can help because it blocks the production of most inflammatory cytokines.
Another Glutathione benefit is detoxification. This is especially important today with the amount of toxins that are found in your foods and the environment. In the liver Glutathione attaches to toxins carrying them into the bile and the stool and out of your body. A 4th benefit of glutathione is for your immune system. Glutathione is critical in helping your immune system do its job of fighting infections and diseases. That’s why studies have shown that glutathione can help in the treatment of AIDS. The bad news about glutathione is that you get less of it due to aging, poor nutrition, stress, medications and more.
