Younger Skin: Twenty Year Young Skin at 50?
We have an adorable, young, beautiful woman from France living on the property and when our paths cross and we stop to chat, my eyes are drawn to her dewy, unblemished, unlined younger skin. Ahhh, youth; to those of us who reach a certain age, it seems everyone younger than thirty looks twelve years old. LOL…
Ways to Make Skin Look Younger
Several of my posts over the past two years have discussed the alternative to achieving a more youthful look with injections and cosmetic surgery. For some, and I know many women and a few men who opted for the latter, they elect to erase the years in one fell swoop. But for this fine-aged gal, I just don’t have the nerve for such radical methods to help my skin look younger.
For years, like many of us, I made monthly visits to a favorite department store carrying those high-end skin care brands or the trendy and even more expensive skincare boutiques all of which kept my pocket book lean but didn’t really do much to get that younger looking skin. My drawers were full of skin care stuff to prove it and the same tired, aged skin remained unchanged.
Several skin care products gave hope within the first thirty days of use; they initially felt good on the skin or were void of heavy perfumes or temporarily offered a plumping of fine lines, but with continued use, the skin remained the same: wrinkled, tired and dull.
When the concept of beauty within seemed my last resort for growing old gracefully, forgoing a more youthful complexion, a friend introduced me to the Xtend-Life Skincare line of products available only online (click on that link to learn more) and it is this product that has made enough of a difference in how my skin looks and feel to warrant this blog.
Healthy Skin Choices
Although it is the Xtend Life company and its remarkable products I attribute to my skin looking more youthful, there are other healthy skin choices that come into play as well: exercise (walks/hikes), reducing stress (meditation), eating healthy and moderation of sugar, caffeine and alcohol intake. Oh, and drinking lots of water.
Do I now have the younger skin of our lovely French neighbor? Would you think I were twenty, if we met? Of course not. But these skin care products and the Xtend-Life anti aging supplements (read my Xtend-Life Best Fish Oil post) have, still two years later, definitely made such a positive improvement in the overall health, feel and look of my skin that I feel content with my age and will continue to use and recommend them.
