This morning I received an announcement from Xtend Life that they have just released a new Omega 3 DHA fish oil premium product. I was curious why they felt it necessary to improve on their existing fish oil. Results from my own use of the original formula included benefits to my eyes, hair, nails and my skin (improved smoothness and a healthy glow).

Reading through the Xtend Life website on why this product was created and what added benefits it provided, in comparison to the original…I am very enthusiastic about ordering this new fish oil premium formula!
Why? Because I am one of the those people who suffer from photo-aged skin. Too much time spent in direct sun with little regard to protection. My face, arms and legs are a bit leathery (did I say this out loud?!) and during dry weather become itchy. Although my wrinkles have softened using the original fish oil, Xtend Life claims this new premium fish oil can actually “de-age” the skin from the inside out.
How? Two new ingredients have been incorporated with their original Omega 3 DHA Fish Oil formula:
Lyc-O-Mato® and Natural astaxanthin.
The first new ingredient is a complex lycopene that is extracted from tomato oil (hence, the catchy “mato”). The second is derived from algae. Both of these ingredients are powerful antioxidants and combined, act as a natural sunscreen.
What excites me most about this new premium fish oil is that it may actually reverse the effects of photo-aging. If the wrinkles and sunspots on my face can be further reduced by any visible amount, such results will send this consumer over the moon.

It is not only the skin, however, that will benefit with this particular brand of premium fish oil. There is some very encouraging studies and information available on the company site here…look for the “more info” tab to learn about other real health benefits of this new fish oil supplement.
When I first started using the Xtend Life skin care products I also began taking the original Xtend Life Omega 3 DHA Fish Oil. In my own attempts at “testing” I went a month without the fish oil caps and noticed my skin was not nearly as smooth and radiant…the dryness from what felt like the inside of my skin.
So, I get it when the company states that a good foundation is paramount to the best results for my skin. For me, that foundation is the Omega 3 DHA fish oil. After 6 months of taking the original formula, I’m off to order the new formula and will report my personal results here.
