This morning I received an announcement from Xtend Life that they have just released a new Omega 3 fish oil premium product.  I was curious why they felt it necessary to improve on their existing fish oil. Results from my own use of the original formula included benefits to my eyes, hair, nails and my skin (improved smoothness and a healthy glow).

What excites me most about this new premium fish oil is that it may actually reverse the effects of photo-aging. If the wrinkles and sunspots on my face can be further reduced by any visible amount, such results will send this consumer over the moon.

In August last year I began my personal testing of the extend life skincare products: the Restorative Night Cream and their Age-defense Active Day Cream.

Because of the cell rejuvenation technology utilized within both of these face creams, and with all the Xtend Life anti aging face cream products, the result on my face, neck and throat areas were nothing short of miraculous.  Or so it seems to me when gazing in the mirror!

Recently I read on another anti aging beauty blog about a woman’s experience with an Xtend Life skin care product. She had ordered the Restorative Night Cream and complained that it didn’t feel anything like  moisturizers she had used in the past. In fact, she said it felt more like a mask than a moisturizing cream.

I remember now my first time applying the same product; my reaction was similar. It did indeed feel different.

One thing I discovered in my first few applications, however, was that of my procedure: previously I would apply my night creams to a still damp face, after cleaning. Out of habit, that is how I applied the Xtend Life Restorative Night Cream.

If you follow the Xtend Life directions to gently massage their Restorative Night Cream into the skin after thoroughly washing and drying, it will feel different.  (Tip: after blot drying I wait a few minutes before applying Xtend Life night cream). My skin did feel a bit tight and almost dry. But I wanted to see results so I continued.

Unlike the blog poster who stated she stopped using the product after her initial trial,  I wanted to thoroughly test the product for a full 30 days before throwing in the towel.  The company recommends using their Age Defense Day Cream in conjunction with and that I did.

Within a week, I was seeing a smoother, more radiant complexion; in fact I was so delighted with the results I had almost forgotten my initial reaction to the difference in how the “night cream” felt on my skin.  But I am so glad I didn’t give up because the results have been, for me, incredible.

Here is another useful tip: apply the Xtend Life skin care products sparingly. The scientific cell rejuvenation technology employed in the making of this skin care line requires using minimal amounts.  I use my little finger tip to dab a small “dots” on my cheeks, cheek bones, forehead, upper lip, chin, nose and throat. And my 4th fingers to gently massage into the skin, using upward and outward strokes.

If you’ve landed on my blog looking for Xtend Life reviews, you’ll find I’ve posted my own personal experience with a couple of the xtend life skin care products as well as the Xtend Life fish oil. Recently a reader chimed in with a concern and a question about the quality of Xtend Life’s fish oil supplements.  The information she had garnered suggested that the New Zealand hoki fish was a cold water fish and thus had much less of the beneficial DHA and that the oil must be derived from an organ of said fish.

As a person who researches stuff, I know there can be all kinds of conflicting information out there; it takes triple checking and confirming what is the actual truth of a thing, scientific info included.

Pronto, I wanted to determine if the information on the Xtend Life website offered details of the fish oil supplements in question.  They identify the fish and its properties and offer plenty of details about the quality of oil used and the high content of DHA, as well as the benefits of fish oil supplements.

But I still wanted to hear directly from the horses mouth so I emailed the company with a copy of the info and her question stated in the reader’s comment.

Following is the Xtend-Life reply, which went directly to the person who submitted their concern to the company as well:

First of all, I think the info you have read is a little misleading. All fish contain oil, they all contain omega 3s. It is not from oily fish only, such as sardines, etc. I think that is where the confusion lays here. All fish produce fish oil extract, no matter if they are an oily fish, a whitefish, or other.

Now, with regards to Hoki, the oil extract isn’t taken from the liver. You are quite right in that liver extractions are not helpful to health, and should be avoided, such as with cod liver oil.

The extract we take from Hoki fish is from the skeleton and flesh of the fish, no organs are involved at all. The Hoki fish actually has one of the highest amounts of natural DHA available in any fish source, and as well as this, is one of the least contaminated fish sources available. So this is actually a very positive source to use! I think the info you have as regards a low DHA value is either misleading or false info. The Hoki fish does have one of the highest natural DHA percentages available worldwide.

The Southern Ocean of NZ is actually one of the purest oceans left in the world, and this is where we get our fish source from.

What I rejoiced about mostly with this  reader was that she took the quality of fish oil supplements as a serious matter enough to inquire about. A very wise thing to do as a consumer for self and family health.

Best Anti Aging Cream?

I am often asked if Xtend Life is the best anti aging cream and my reply isalways the same: you have to try it. And I don’t say this just to make a sale; (because, yes, I am an affiliate of the company and yes they pay a commission on sales generated from my website) I say this for a couple of reasons. Let me explain.

Everyone has different needs, different expectations, different skin issues. You have to experience a product yourself to determine if it is right for you.

TIP: Let your skin adjust to the experience of any cream for several weeks, maybe a month, to see full results. Although I was thrilled with my results much sooner, that may not be the case for you. You have to try it…to determine if it is the best anti aging cream for you.

And it’s taken many years to find the best anti aging cream for me.  However, a younger gal (or guy!) with the knowledge and savvy of good skin care might be looking for an anti aging cream to preserve her or his youthful skin without the panic.

Regardless of your goal, or your age,  the best anti aging cream is that which works best for you.

The word “best” is subjective; it means different things to each of us. The only way to know if  the Xtend Life anti aging skin care products are best for you is to test them. Before I apologize for 2 months of utter silence, I wanted to blog about a recent finding regarding xtend life’s anti aging products because it has been a big revelation. My own personal experience.

When previously reported (my last post in Aug.!) about our first 30 days using them, the results had been more than a little impressive. In fact, I was over the top thrilled. But with my reason for no blog posts (see below) we had run out of the xtend life goodies for my skin and that of both my husband and my intake of the xtendlife 3 fish oil supplements.

And that’s what I wanted to quickly mention here.

Over the past two months without the xtend life products, several things became very apparent to us. Listing in no particular order, here’s what we discovered after taking the Xtend Life for our first 30 days and then not having them for the past 2 months:

60 days Without Xtend-Life skin care products:

The glow was gone, the clarity of my skin greatly reduced; softness and suppleness replaced with dry flaky skin. Tiny, fine lines reappeared and the more pronounced smile, frown, and squinty lines around the eyes became, well, more pronounced. I had run out of the xtend life Age Defense Active Day Cream before depleting the Restorative Night Cream with its cell rejuvenation qualities. Clearly, the two work best together, because the changes to my skin started to show without the day cream being applied.

60 days Without Xtend-Life’s 3 fish oil supplement:

Hair lost its sheen; the gray color seemed more pronounce than before. The bounce and body, evident while taking the xtendlife 3 fish oil supplements, had resumed to its former days of flat and lifelessness. (is that a word?)

Energy and sense of well being greatly reduced. Which didn’t help during the stressful and physical chore of moving.

My eyes! This is probably the main concern as I don’t take my eye sight for granted. Itchy, redness, less quality of vision, severe eye strain all returned without the use of my Xtend life fish oil.

SPOUSE: My husband suffers from all kinds of pain and inflammation of his right hip and leg, results of older injuries incurred as a (younger) man of action. The xtend life fish oil helped him tremendously with pain reduction, not 100% elimination, but enough to make a profound difference and allow him to restfully sleep better than he had prior to ingesting xtendlife products. (surgery is the very last resort).

Inflammation in his leg had greatly reduced while taking 4 caps a day of the fish oil supplement; he was much more active. These past 2 months without the xtend life fish oil supplements have rendered him back to his original state, a bit  grumpy…understandably, one of pain and inflammation enough to keep his activity levels much reduced.

As a side note to the omega 3 fish oil products: my husband researches things…to death. He had tried various products,including other fish oil supplements. One had been touted by a progressive and alternative health medical doctor; the price 5x that of xtend life’s fish oil…and the result he had with that particular product paled heavily in comparison to the xtend life omega 3 fish oil.

Now that I’ve given my personal updated reviews on the xtend-life skin care and xtend life fish oil supplements, have fixed up the house (almost), construction (garage) is just about complete, and placed a new order with Xtend Life Products…time to get on with business.  The company offers 100% product satisfaction…click on the link or logo above if you’re interested in trying their anti aging products.

While I have previously reported on the benefits of Omega 3 Fish Oil, including the purity of Xtend-Life Omega 3 Fish Oil, it was only 30 days ago that I received my first order of xtend-life’s fish oil.

The results surprised me.

During this first 30 day trial, I was in the throes of packing and moving, one of the top ten stressors of life. And although I take pride in being an organized mover, it’s all the other little things totally out of my control that made the ordeal a bit stressful.

But I found myself quite calm amidst it all. I was clear minded, dealt with the issues at hand without flipping out. In fact, it was one of my easiest big moves ever encountered.

Now, of course, there’s no way to mark for certain that the xtend life Omega 3 fish oil was responsible for this sense of calm but that was the first thing I noticed.

The third benefit I’ve noticed is that of my hair. It has more of a sheen, less gray with my natural color, dark brown, looking more so than the washed out non-color of the past several years.  There were no changes to the hair products I use so I can only surmise this added bene is due to the  xtend-life Omega-3 fish oil.

Previously, I had taken fish oil capsules from the local natural health food store. I had taken them religiously (2x per day) over a three months time frame. In comparison with xtend-life’s brand, there were zero benefits that I could attribute to the fish oil specifically, and decided to stop purchasing and injesting.
