Beauty vs Health: Face Anti Wrinkle Cream?
Face Anti Wrinkle Cream
Look up those four words on Google, Yahoo or Bing and you’ll get a whole lot of sites touting the best face anti wrinkle cream. How to determine which anti aging skin care products are really effective and safe (non-toxic)? Or does it matter to you if a product works well at taking years off your face but could later pose health issues over a long period of use?
This week I found myself browsing on a popular forum related to skin care. It was surprising, if not shocking, how many people are using a particular anti wrinkle face cream with an ingredient known to be a health hazard. In fact, I had to chime in on a particular thread where someone had offered a report, produced by a chemical company, about the safety of an ingredient used to lighten skin, a topic I’ve recently blogged about. I mean really. Just because it’s written, doesn’t make it so. Jeesh. And you have to consider the source of such a report and the lack of protection for consumers and thirty year old laws that are totally ineffective.
Pardon me…I could go on ad naseum about the lobbying efforts of big chem and pharma companies and the EPA, the agency with the warm and fuzzy sound to its name but truth be told are not invoking any real regulation to protect citizens from serious health and toxicity issues. Especially with relation to chemical companies. And then there’s the beauty industry itself…
Ok, ok…I’ll stop.
Xtend Life (extend life) Face Cream
Two years ago when I first discovered the Xtend Life (some spell it phonetically: extend life) anti aging products it was the transparency of the company and how well they document their research and manufacturing that grabbed my attention. I thoroughly waded through and read every single page on their extensive website.
And it was also during this research that I learned about Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Its origins are a fascinating read…for a later post; however its primary purpose is to:
protect the health of consumers and workers by securing the corporate, regulatory and legislative reforms necessary to eliminate dangerous chemicals from cosmetics and personal care products.
There is a plethora of interesting information on the Campaign for Safe Cosmetic website in addition to the 15 pages of companies listed who have signed the Campaign’s pledge to not include hazardous, toxic ingredients. (and those well-known companies who refuse to participate). I was elated to find Xtend-Life listed as a responsible company and supporter.
So, what does Xtend-Life offer for: face anti wrinkle cream? For women, there are two skin care products that address wrinkles:
- Age Defense Active Day Cream
- Restorative Night Cream
My personal results of these two products are posted throughout my blog. Suffice it to say here, I have experienced amazing results. And, there’s something else that I am convinced has helped reverse my aging skin and that is their Omega 3 Fish Oil supplements (personal review forthcoming on the new Premium product). For men, extend life has an effective anti aging skin care line helps restore moisture and smoothness.
I recommend you try the two Xtend Life face anti wrinkle creams because they are safe and you may have as good results as I have. And, the company backs their products 100% with customer satisfaction. I put my name on this blog because of the results I’ve seen. Now it’s your turn.

Absolutely! Our skin responds to a good rest, as you say…and as for “very good supplements…” there is no question in my mind and from my experience, Xtend Life supplements are the very best.
Thanks for your comment.

skin care should be supported with a good rest and of course very good nutritional supplements ,*”
@ Joliese Thank you for your comment. (pretty name: Joliese)
Indeed, not everyone will have the same results as another person with any skin care product. However, if someone recommends a product based on their own results, their research on the company, ingredients, etc., aren’t we likely to try and test that product to see if, in fact, we have the same results? The Xtend Life skin care products were referred to me by another satisfied user and once I looked into the ethics etc of the company, I was willing to try them. Glad i did.
Thanks again for stopping by, Joliese.

Thanks for sharing your honest feedback and experience with the Xtend Life skin care products.
and it also right that not everyone will have the same results as another person with every skin care product bcz skin type differs…..
Hi Janice,
Thanks for sharing your honest feedback and experience with the Xtend Life skin care products, specifically, Hydrating Mask & Eye Serum.
Sometimes, yes, results can take longer, especially around the eye area.
Just a little tip that I learned years ago and maybe this is why I haven’t needed to use an eye serum or eye cream (as yet): the area around the eye is so very delicate…do you lightly dab with your finger tips when applying the serum?
The Deep Active Hydrating Mask is to be used once every other week…not daily as you mention. So maybe follow that route instead and see if you then notice an improvement? (You don’t mention how the hydration of your skin improved) Of course, the mask would not affect your eyes, as all masks should be kept away from that area of your face.
Janice, although I’ve not used either of the products you have, my positive and remarkable results came from their face creams: Age Defense Day Cream & Restorative Night Cream. So my next question: what are you using for day and night creams? And what about for cleansing your skin?
You are absolutely right, not everyone will have the same results as another person with every skin care product and perhaps this is not the right product line for you…but maybe if you follow the aforementioned suggestions, you might see improved results. I certainly hope so, for your sake.
Thanks again for your comment, Janice. And please keep me posted with your results.
Kindly,

I purchased the Hydrating Mask and Eye Serum from Xtendlife at the end of February 2010 and have used it exactly as directed since the evening I received it in the mail (I was so excited that I didn’t want to wait until the next morning to start).
Unfortunately, I have seen no results/no change in 9 weeks. This is very disappointing. Of course I still use them daily thinking that perhaps it will take longer for my skin to show changes. I was hoping I could reduce the wrinkles/bags under my eyes which are beginning to make me look tired all the time. Perhaps these products are not the best ones for me. Has anyone tried another product that Xtendlife has that may be a better option for me?
Thank you.
