Best Anti Aging Products: What Works Best?

As with all products available to consumers, it can be a challenge when trying to determine which are the best anti aging products. But let’s narrow it down to skin care. If you are twenty something you should not really be so concerned about anti aging but you should know what products consist of to keep your skin, the largest organ of the body, as youthful looking for as long as possible.

Those of us over 50, however, are looking for effective products that will help us reverse the signs of aging; we should also be just as concerned as to the ingredients in locating the best anti aging skincare. So while we want effective we should also strive for safe products.

Let me expound on that a bit. Many of the most well known and popular (and even the high-end, pricey) skincare products contain ingredients that are not beneficial to the skin in any way, including some marketed as ‘natural.’ And because many ingredients are less expensive, never mind effective…or even safe, they are used commonly in the manufacturing of a particular product.

The big corporations are all business and what matters most is the bottom dollar. Their marketing departments are very good at convincing us that we should buy their product, never mind what’s in them. So it’s in our best interest, as consumers, to determine for ourselves, what we want on our skin.

Because the ingredients listed on a pretty bottle or jar reads like Greek, the majority of us really don’t know what we are putting on our skin.

Here’s a not-so-pretty example: Acrylamide - this ingredient can be found in many hand creams and face creams. Scientific research suggests the ingredient may cause breast tumors.

And another: Polyethylene glycol (PEG) – this almost friendly sounding ingredient is widely used as an emulsifier and humectant (that which draws moisture from the air to the skin) and is suspected of being carcinogenic (cancer causing).

My intention here is share what I’ve learned over the years about ingredients in searching for the best anti aging and health products, not to scare you to death. But, knowledge is power, right? There are selected companies performing top research; companies with products that are both effective and safe.

As my blog continues you’ll learn more about skin care ingredients, supplements, and organizations that are committed to informing the public on what is and isn’t good. Something those big companies certainly don’t want divulged. You’ll also learn about the best anti aging and health products produced by little known companies quietly doing good work.

Ok, here is what I recommended and consider the best anti aging products because I’ve experienced first hand how well they worked…for me!
