Beautiful Skin with Xtend Life
Anti Aging Skin Care
I have this recorded memory at age forty-something that my beautiful skin was beginning to change. By beautiful, I don’t mean to infer anything egotistical, mind you, it was (then) simply younger skin void of wrinkles and dark spots. The photo-cell damage incurred over a life time had yet begun to show. The change, however, was happening when I first noticed something in my peripheral vision; basically, the drooping of skin over my outer eye brows. It was then that I began to consider the need for an anti aging skin care regime.
At this juncture, I began to pay attention more to beauty ads and commercials promising a more youthful, beautiful skin and spent a small fortune at boutique skin care stores, facial spas, high-end department store cosmetic counters, lathering myself with lotions and potions. I was armed with a credit card determined to prevent further aging of my skin.
It was about this time when all the hyperbole of anti aging hit the airwaves and newsstands with several medical professionals cashing in on the baby boomers desire to retain a healthy, youthful appearance. I paid attention; attended seminars in New Mexico, California, Hawaii, purchased books by the dozens, tapes too, with the hope and desire that by acquiring all this anti aging knowledge I would become a poster woman for beautiful skin.
How silly of me. Vanity is a funny thing. We eat up the pablum fed to us by marketing mavens, spending billions of dollars (as a society) in search of the fountain of youth. And the bottom line? At birth we are disposed to certain genetic make-up that dictates our skin type. Some will age better than others simply based on this fact.
So, why bother to use anti aging skin care products to help feed the, “I want beautiful skin“ syndrome? Because it (the anti aging machine) coupled with the multi-billion dollar skin care and cosmetic industries are spending big bucks on research to feed the frenzy. Not all companies, of course, perform the actual scientific research, but some do.
Fast forward 14 or 15 years and this baby boomer (yours truly) has learned a few things when it comes to reviewing anti aging skin care products; the questions I ask include:
- research – does the company implements their own R&D; stays current on cutting edge of cellular and natural technology
- ingredients – what is effective and safe; synergistic with one another; harmful chemicals; active ingredients per volume; natural ingredients vs petroleum based
- manufacturing – the process implemented; scientifically formulated
These are things I have come to learn about in my search for anti aging skin care products. Xtend Life has provided thousands of customers the opportunity to have more beautiful skin., including me. And, as I have written about before, using their fish oil supplement has also aided in my skin’s repair.
