Anti Aging Beauty: How to Keep Our Glow?
Just yesterday the content of my blog post related to anti aging beauty in regards to safe, non-toxic, and effective face anti wrinkle cream. I awoke this morning with this thought: what will I do today that will allow me to feel the glow? How do we keep or get back that vitality for life as age marches forward? Certainly quality anti aging products and supplements can help but they alone are not the panacea for all aspects of aging.
I cannot offer a new or stunning revelation for this question, however, perhaps this little reminder might help to motivate those of us who find ourselves making excuses because we are too busy, too tired, too sick, too overwhelmed to take action, become pro active, in doing what we need to do to keeping our beauty. Maintaining our glow.
And by beauty let’s not forget there is a ‘whole’ us…not just what we look like. Now that may sound contradictory to many of the posts on this blog with reference to anti aging beauty and health products, but stick with me a moment. Our beauty is the essence of who we are. In our youth, we glowed. And as we age, all that life dishes up can certainly dull that glow.
I cannot recall where or who stated this, heck…maybe I created it (let me know if you know its author) but it’s something I remind myself of when things get a bit much, when stress starts to make me a bit nutz; it goes something like this:
~ Life happens and it’s not what we know but how we respond to it that can make a profound difference to our well being. ~
In other words, how we react to stress is something that can be within our control. Because, as we all know…stress ages, kills and de-glows both our inner and outer beauty. And the “how” of coping with stress ties in with the ability to keeping our glow.
Back to my point: what works best for anti aging beauty and keeping or getting our glow? Here’s my list, things I know make a difference to how I feel, how I look, how I relate to others, to stress, to the challenges of life…these simple things work well to making me feel healthier and younger.
- Brisk Walk 20-30 minutes 2x a day
- Smile, Sing, Dance, Play (music, with a child, a pet)
- Eat clean, wholesome, nutritious foods; get off the sugar!
- Include quality supplements with diet
- Care for skin with safe anti aging skin care products
- Do one thing a day to help someone else, without an agenda attached
- Deep Breathing Exercise,Yoga, Hike, Reading, bike ride
What about your anti aging beauty list? What would your list look like to get back and feel that glow?

Thanks for the thumbs up, Doc. I agree drinking water regularly is excellent for keeping toxins washed from the body and helping to maintain a glow. Green tea? Maybe. I would not be adding it to my list for one reason, based on a friend’s recent health diagnosis. She had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and though medical doctors didn’t inquire much about her diet, an herbalist did. Turns out, green tea is a big no-no for anyone with liver issues. Moral of that story: do the research before ingesting any health supplement or herbal or dietary products based on your health conditions or allergies.
Note: I am not recommending, offering advise or making suggestions for medical treatment of any type! Consult your (alternative?) health practitioner.
I like your list. I’d add drinking loads of water and green tea to it!
Thanks, Rebecca, for this reminder that the simpler aspects of maintaining beauty often work best!
Its our lifestyle and choices that prevent applying them. I would add to your list walking, at minimum, 30 minutes each day.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
one good beauty tip is to have sufficient rest, lots of fluid and nutitious foods.,:;
